Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued his passion for healing by obtaining his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.

Dr. Southerland further honed his skills through a rigorous three year residency in podiatric surgery at Northlake Regional Medical Center in Tucker, Georgia. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Southerland has made significant contributions to the field through his commitment to education. His international teaching endeavors in Australia earned him recognition and the prestigious title of honorary Fellow of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons.

Suzanne Clous, DPM, is from Cocoa Beach, Florida, and has practiced private podiatric surgery since 2005. She earned her B.S. in Physical Science, Mathematics, and Biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando before achieving her doctorate with honors from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. Clous completed a rigorous one year podiatric medical residency in the Division of Orthopedics at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and followed it with a two year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Temple University School of Medicine.

Dr. Clous is affiliated with Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. She offers comprehensive treatment and surgery for patients of all ages. Dr. Clous, a board-certified foot surgeon, specializes in forefoot reconstructive surgery, especially in rheumatoid patients, diabetic limb salvage, acute sports injuries, pediatrics, and skin and nail conditions.
